PRAY FOR OUR BISHOP SEARCH
Our Diocese of Florida’s search for a new bishop is now underway. Join our bishop search committee in praying daily for God to raise up fit candidates for election to this highest and weightiest sacred ministry, taking a cue from our Book of Common Prayer (page 256):
O God, you led your holy apostles to ordain ministers in every place: Grant that your Church, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may choose suitable persons for the ministry of Word and Sacrament, and may uphold them in their work for the extension of your kingdom; through him who is the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
HOLIDAY GIVING TREE
The Holy Trinity Episcopal School of Gainesville (HTESG) Board of Trustees has set up its yearly Holiday Giving Tree in the back of the church to help collect gifts to surprise children in need with some holiday cheer. Pick an ornament and write your name next to the number of the child you chose. Do your shopping and bring your gifts with the ornament in a large holiday bag to the parish office by November 25. After we bless the gifts at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist on December 14, we’ll deliver them to the children’s parents. Questions? Click here to email Rosie Connolly.
PARISH THANKSGIVING DINNER SURVEY
Our Brotherhood of Saint Andrew is hosting a parish-wide Thanksgiving potluck dinner. Please help them plan ahead by letting them know if you are interested. Click here to respond to their online survey by Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Afterwards, they’ll survey all who indicated “yes” or “maybe” to determine side dishes and a final count. Questions? Click here to email Leo Dugger.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR 2025
Our Saint Elizabeth Circle is hosting the 2025 Christmas Bazaar in the parish hall Friday, November 21 through Sunday, November 23 in the parish hall. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. To get involved, email Pat Evans or Jennifer Rich.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR SILENT CAKE AUCTION
Saint Elizabeth Circle is adding a new twist to this year’s Christmas Bazaar — a silent cake auction! Bakers and confectioners, put your prize recipe on the auction block and feel the excitement as dessert lovers bid on them Friday night of the bazaar. Thus far, parish chefs have volunteered lemon cake filled with lemon curd and iced with lemon buttercream frosting; rum cake, white almond cake; and fresh apple cake. Want to join the fun and compete for bragging rights with your own special cake, pie, or cookies? Click here to email Joyce Crawford for details.
JOIN THE ALTAR GUILD!
Help set up for Sunday Eucharists, Wednesday Healing Services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other special church occasions! We have four teams, and each team meets one weekend a month. All are welcome — men or women, young or not so young! Help keep God’s house ready to host God’s people. Questions? Click here to email Vandy Thorpe.
ALTAR FLOWERS
If you would like to place flowers on the altar in memory of, in honor of, or in thanksgiving for loved ones, please call the parish office front desk (352 372 4721) for dates available on the parish calendar. You can use a florist of your choice or ask the front desk staff for recommended local florists. Have questions? Need more details? Call the parish office!

JOIN THE CHOIR!
Interested in singing in our church’s choir? Any singer, ages 16 to 90-plus, is welcome. No audition needed. Rehearsal is most Thursdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m., then again on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. You needn’t know how to read music — but it helps! If you love singing, please consider committing to this key ministry in our parish’s liturgical life. Email musicdept@holytrinitygnv.org for details.
JOIN THE HANDBELL RINGERS!
HTEC’s handbell ringers perform a few times a year at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist. Bells range from the bass end to little treble bells, with musical styles from traditional hymns to challenging showpieces. You needn’t know how to read music — just be able to count in time. Ringers rehearse 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Thursdays. Email musicdept@holytrinitygnv.org for details.
