Education for Ministry

The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides theological education for lay persons to support their faith and teach them to express that faith in day-to-day events. It is a four-year program developed by the University of the South; however, participants commit to one year at a time. The curriculum covers the First and Second Testaments, church history, and theology. Sessions include prayer, discussion of assigned readings, and a time for theological reflection, examining issues, texts, and questions from the perspectives of church tradition, culture, our actions, and our personal beliefs. EfM meets on Monday nights from 7:00-9:30 p.m.. September through May.
