Background Checks and Safe Church Training
Prospective employees and ministry volunteers are subject to law enforcement background checks, according to Episcopal Church and Diocese of Florida guidelines. These include parish staff and others in leadership – especially those who work around children and young people – to help ensure strict compliance with safety measures designed to guard against sexual exploitation and harassment and child abuse. Records are kept by the Parish Administrator and the Diocese of Florida.
