Music at Holy Trinity

“I will sing with the spirit and with the understanding also”
The First Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians, 14:15.

Sacred music has been the hallmark of the liturgical tradition of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church for more than 130 years. The congregation and choirs of Holy Trinity (The Holy Trinity Choir, The Holy Trinity Folk Choir, The Holy Trinity Choristers, and The Holy Trinity Handbell Choir) offer the music in the 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday liturgies, as well as seasonal worship celebrations, special services, and other festal occasions. Instrumentalists participate during worship services and on other occasions throughout the liturgical year. The “Music at Holy Trinity” series presents choral, organ, and instrumental concerts, as well as special liturgies, each musical season (from September through May).

Holy Trinity’s principal musical instrument is the Visser-Rowland pipe organ installed during the 1994 rebuilding of the church. In 2013-14, the Visser-Rowland pipe organ was enhanced and upgraded as part of the church’s capital campaign.

There are openings in all choirs! It’s never too late to be part of music at Holy Trinity. Contact Director of Music and Organist Dr. John T. Lowe, Jr., for more information or see him after any service. Phone: 352- 372-4721, lowe at holytrinitygnv.org.
