ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM

 Sunday, 9:15AM Education Hour

LECTIONARY BIBLE STUDY                 Room 209
Led by Chuck Parks

As we review our busy lives, it seems impossible to add anything more.  Yet we recognize a yearning to grow in our knowledge of God and His Son, Jesus, and a desire to make our lives count for something ultimately.  An avenue for accomplishing this is to get attached to a Bible study and see what God's word says to you.  This is a lively study designed for discussion, questions, and sharing using the Sunday Lectionary readings.  Please, come visit and see if it is helpful for you.

Fr. Jeremy’s Book Class                      Room 101
Led by Fr. Jeremy Hole

This class determines the books they will read and discuss. Books do not have to be purchased or read to participate in the class. Newcomers are always welcome.

Women’s book study                        Room 202

Facilitated by Patricia Sterns

The Women’s Spirituality Group meets on Sunday mornings during the Education Hour. The format of the meetings is informal group discussion based on books, current events, and other materials relevant to women’s spirituality and women in the Episcopal Church. All women of the parish are invited to join the group.

 SPIRITUAL RETREATS AT CAMP WEED

Camp Weed is our Diocesan camp located outside of Live Oak an hour north of Gainesville.  During the Summer it provides the children and youth of our Diocese with an excellent Christian camp experience.  Please speak with Gram for more information.  During the remainder of the year it hosts spiritual retreat weekends for children, youth and adults.

Cursillo is a three day retreat which brings together a diverse group to share the richness of worship and broaden one’s appreciation for our Church. Lay people conduct the weekend with two or three clergy members functioning as spiritual advisors. Cursillo strives to enrich and deepen your faith and to foster ministry among lay people.

For more information you can visit the national website: www.episcopalcursillo.org/  and to learn about Cursillo in this area please contact Rosie Warner at 392-1519.
